C100

Do I need a separate cell phone account for the C100?

No, DaisAlert has the cell phone account. Your monthly communication charge covers the cell cost. Your agreement is with DaisAlert only.

Do I need a Twitter account to use the C100.

No, you can use Twitter to get messages to your cell phone and others you select without having set up a Twitter account.

What is the best way to mount the device?

Either wall mount or shelf mount is OK. A template is included for screw hole placement.

How do I set the cell phone contact numbers?

See page 2 of the Quick Start Guide that was enclosed with your C100 or found here on this WEB site.

Can there be more than one cell phone number to receive the alerts?

Can I change or add cell number(s) at a later time?

Yes, you can add a cell phone to your call list. See page 2 of the user command card enclosed with your C100 or found here on this WEB site. You can also delete cell phone numbers on your call list. See page 2 of the user command card.

Does each cell phone get the same message?

Yes.

How do I test the set-up?

After completing set up (see the Quick Start Guide), you can text stat to the cell phone number on the front of the C100. You will receive a status message from the C100 on your cell phone.

Can I test it remotely?

Yes, you can perform the test remotely.

Does each sent message include date and time?

Messages sent from the C100 have the date included. If the message goes through Twitter, on the Twitter home page you will see the time the message was received which will only be a few seconds from the event occurrence.

How often does the device send the alarm message? Can I turn it off remotely?

The C100 will send the alert notice once to each cell number you have set up. The only alert condition you can turn off is the motion detection by sending the command to disarm.

Can I have the message go directly to the police department?

The C100 is not intended for personal security purposes.

Can I add other alerts conditions to my device?

No, you must upgrade the C100 to add other alert conditions. Contact DaisAlert to discuss your needs.

How do I know when to change the C100 battery?

You will receive a ‘low battery’ notice on your cell phone. Change the battery then. The replacement is a standard 9V battery. You will need a ‘Phillips’ screw driver to open and close the battery door.
